Module implemented together with the Cooperative Banking Group (Spółdzielcza Grupa Bankowa)
Presentation basic issues concerning cooperative banks in Poland, their specific functioning and special position in the banking market. The module participants shall learn the differences between cooperative banks and other banking market players – commercial banks and Credit and Savings Unions (Spółdzielcze Kasy Oszczędnościowo-Kredytowe – SKOK).
Business social responsibility, support for local communities and communal nature of operations are the main concepts underlying cooperative banking. The module participants shall learn the issues of banking business based on those ideas and the challenges the sector is to face in the nearest future.
